Topic: Log in-logo not branded?
Hi,
I have just branded my own logo into the system, but why does the SimpleCMS-logo not change on the log-in screen?
It should be really great if you were able to show you own logo at that spot too!

Hi,
I have just branded my own logo into the system, but why does the SimpleCMS-logo not change on the log-in screen?

Your log-in screen is http://sssfinance.updating.net/ and the logo is showing there
On a related thread, I set up the CNAME entry, and the url seems to be redirecting to updating.net, but not my subdomain: ap.updating.net.
I have the correct subdomain set up in my CNAME entry, and I also noticed that the branding setting has an advanced option where you can enter more information. I've tried to enter different things in that field, but the system doesn't accept anything.
Am I doing something wrong?
You need to click on 'Advanced' on the branding page and enter your CNAME into the box there. CNAMEs should not point to your sub-domain but to updating.net
More information can be found at:
http://smplc.ms/cname
My problem is that the advanced option is not allowing me to enter my CNAME or anything else in that field. I try to enter my CNAME: cms.toolsdashboard.com and it doesn't accept it and the field's border goes red. Am I doing something wrong?
It just needed the http:// which I have added for you - we should probably make that a little clearer in the system; we'll look at the simplicity (or not) of that page soon as it's caused a few people problems. Not very SimpleCMS :)
Thank you! It's working as expected now :)
My CNAME is working correctly but the login screen is not showing my logo.

You needed to add the CNAME to your account under
Account > Brand > Advanced
I've just done this for you and you should now find your logo appearing correctly.
Thank you.
Based on your feedback, we've changed this now and it makes much more sense - if you experience any more problems, gents, just let us know.
Hi there, on branding our logo does not seem to be visible on our cp login. Echo'ing the error from the initial post.
If you are visiting any page other than http://seo4webs.updating.net/ then it cannot be branded with your logo - if however you are referring to this page, could you please send a screen grab of what you're experiencing and in which browser/operating system and we'll take a look
Thats fixed, brilliant :)!
Thankyou very much indeed.
Was just wondering if this is possible:
Basically I have a client who's domain is http://www.theskinpharmacy.co.uk.
I set up a CNAME (cms.theskinpharmacy.co.uk) pointing to updating.net and set my CNAME to cms.theskinpharmacy.co.uk in the branding section
so when i go to cms.theskinpharmacy.co.uk - all is good my logo displays and my colour scheme is correct.
But this is only for one user. say for example I have another client with the domain http://www.cubicaquarium.com
I have done exactly the same - set up a CNAME (cms.cubicaquarium.com) but is there anyway I can get my logo to display on this page.
I thought maybe if I pointed the CNAME at http://rt-media.updating.net/ then it should technically work but it doesn't .
Is there anyway of making this work or am I trying to do something that isn't possible?
Richy
Unfortunately, you can't do that at the moment. It's an interesting idea.
We have talked about having an option to brand the system for each site but it's on the future to-do list at the moment. We'll see if we can come up with a quicker alternative for you.
Ok thanks Simon, Looking forward to the individual branding.. that would be really awesome and helpful :)
Richy - I had an idea last night and have come up with a way to get your clients branding to appear for each CNAME you create as long as you have the site in your account it will work.
For example, you have these two sites in your account:
theskinpharmacy.co.uk
cubicaquarium.com
So if you create these CNAMEs:
cms.theskinpharmacy.co.uk
cms.cubicaquarium.com
The system will find the account that has the site "theskinpharmacy.co.uk" or "cubicaquarium.com" and then display the branding for that account. In this example the system will match those sites to your account and display your branding.
I noticed that http://cms.cubicaquarium.com is a redirect at the moment. If you change it back to a CNAME you'll see the new magic at work.
Only just noticed your post Simon.
This is great - really impressed and it's working like a charm. :)
Thanks for your help
