Topic: Cannot make edits. Same problem as before.

I am having the same problem as before not being able to edit. (See earlier post below) Am I doing something wrong? I follow the steps according to instructions.


I am new user and I've set up 2 sites using Rapidweaver Templates. The first site is simple and works fine but the second site with 3 level nav's isn't working. After selecting an area to edit, then save, the edit content button gives me nothing, no tools to edit content. The whole reason of using this CMS is for this site that I will be building for a user in Norway. He must be able to edit his text. My main domain is: http://annaschanedesigns.com/ and the subdomain: http://kpro.annaschanedesigns.com/  Can you give me some idea what the problem is?

Hi Anna,

Your site has the wrong root directory. I have changed it for you, it is now set to /public_html/kpro/index.html

If you have this problem in future you can specify the root directory here:
http://cms.simplecms.com/#/sites/select_root/

I copied the root directory link to go to the 'Find your index.html page' http://cms.simplecms.com/#/sites/select_root/ , but It didn't affect anything as I am still unable to edit .

It doesn't work because you have entered the wrong root directory now. You have changed your Site URL so the root directory will be different to the one I posted above.

The root directory is the folder on your FTP server that you upload your files to. If you navigate your FTP server you will find the folder you need.
