Is there an option to have automatic compression for pictures?
My costumers don't have any idea how to compress pictures.

Hi Edwin, are your clients uploading large images through the Image icon on the WYSIWYG toolbar?

The WYSIWYG image editor doesn't perform any compression. When the changes are saved the image is uploaded to their FTP server. It could look at the width/height that has been specified in the WYSIWYG editor and resize/compress the image accordingly. This way their web pages aren't loading massive images but displaying them at smaller sizes. Let us know if you agree with this idea and we'll add it to the development list.

Yes, that sound great. Similar to Photoshop save for web compression. (in size of course)

Hi Edwin, we have added this feature. After you upload an image through the WYSIWYG editor it brings you to the "Image Info" tab, in this tab you can see the width/height of the image. This is set to the actual width/height of the image.

Previously, if you changed the width/height it would just set a style on the image telling it to display at that size but the source file will remain unchanged.

Now when you upload an image and change the width/height the image is resized and compressed to match the width/height specified.

Could you test this and let us know if it works as you expect and solves your problem.

Yes, that exactly what i needed, but i think the compression should be higher (around 70% less of the actual size).
