Topic: Custom domain name / unlimited sites

Hello, under features "custom domain name" and "unlimited sites" are listed.

It seems pretty clear what you mean with unlimited sites: an endless numbers of different sites with different URLs and FTP details can be edited through the account, correct? Question: Is there a separate admin area for each of these sites, so that separate login details can be given to each site owner?

I'm also not quite sure what you mean by "custom domain name". Could you please explain? I note that this is singular, so you're talking about ONE custom domain. Typically, each website maintained via Simple CMS would have their domain already, so I wonder what "custom domain name" means.

Hi Spirelli,

You have an admin account so you have access to all sites/users/features within your account. You then setup "user" accounts which will be for your clients so they can edit their website. The users can only edit the websites that you assign them to, so they won't see other sites that are in your account. If you create a user and log in as them you'll see what I mean.

By default your clients edit their website via cms.simplecms.com or updating.net. If you are a professional user you may set a custom name which means you can give your clients the custom URL instead of our default ones. For example you could have spirelli.updating.net or you could purchase a new domain and setup a CNAME, e.g. spirellicontentmanagement.com

Btw, I thought I would get a notification when I subscribe to a thread and someone answers. Hasn't happened. So maybe subscriptions only mean that I can view them here under "View all your subscriptions"...
