Topic: FTP Lock

My Host uses auto ftp lock for extra security. But it can be kept unlocked for specified IP addresses.
Can this work with simple CMS? Do you have IP addresses that i can keep the ftp unlocked so clients dont have to login to CP unlock the ftp before editing the site?

Here's a screen shot of the FTP lock which is available when I log into our shared hosting account on Heart Internet.
When I click on FTP accounts, I can also lock/unlock each account by an IP address.
