Re: No support response?? (1 replies, posted in Support zone)
Honestly, I think they went out of business. It's weird, but the 2022 on this page and other pages is likely done via PHP or Javascript to make it look like the copyright notice was updated each year (I do this on my own website, which is why I know). But I think this app probably is just maintained (the server that hosts it), but they aren't actively developing or supporting it anymore (IMO).

Re: Colour options on branding...? (25 replies, posted in Feature requests)
It's being worked on and tested to within an inch of its life :)
Incidentally, can you guys tell us (honestly!) how much you would consider paying for something like this product?
It's essentially a downloadable, yours for life, simpler and much faster version of SimpleCMS
Well, assuming you can put unlimited users on it (limited only by the size of the MySQL database I assume it'll use), and that you can have unlimited websites on it with unlimited admin users who in turn can set up their own sites and clients, I'd say something like that is worth. . .$250 - $350 easily, or if you go with the monthly payment model, $55/month
Just my thoughts. . .

Topic: REDIRECTING needs to be corrected urgently. . (2 replies, posted in Support zone)
Hi,
I had the most *ANNOYING* thing happen to me today.
As it turns out my annual subscription was up for renewal (no warning, no e-mail, nothing).
Just a redirect to YOUR cms instead of my branded one.
Oh, and guess how I found out?? From a client.
To make matters worse, after I renewed, it's *STILL* redirecting to simplecms.com instead of my CNAME.
Can you fix this immediately please?!?! I don't need clients calling me to complain.
In the future, it'd be nice to get a notification or something instead of me and my clients being redirected to simplecms.com since it defeats the whole point of BRANDING the CMS as my own!!

Topic: Moved To A New Server (1 replies, posted in Support zone)
I recently moved one of my clients to a new server, but despite the move, I kept all info the same, including their FTP username/password for SimpleCMS to be able to access it.
It is a Plesk server, so files would be located under /httpdocs.
Well no matter what I supply, /httpdocs/, httpdocs/, httpdocs, /httpdocs/index.html, httpdocs/index.html
I keep getting an annoying popup message that says:
Oops! We looked for index.html in /httpdocs/ but that's not the page we recognise from the homepage you picked earlier.
Please try again
I even tried deleting the site completely, and re-creating it within the admin, and the result is the same, and it prevents my client from editing the website.
Can you let me know how to resolve this??
Thanks!

Re: History/Rollback (8 replies, posted in Feature requests)
Gavin,
I'm a developer, so if you guys need help implementing this I can help!
Off the top of my head though, here's one way it could be done (would allow at least ONE "rollback"):
Since SimpleCMS connects to the user's site via FTP, perhaps we could create a directory called "./rollback" and then, as a user goes to edit a page, we can save a copy of the page in that directory first, and then allow the user to edit as usual "Save Draft" and then "Publish Changes" -- next to the "Publish Changes" button, we can add another button that says: "Undo Latest Changes" and that would simply mv ./rollback/page-name.html ./page-name.html
Make sense??
Let me know what you think! =0)

Re: Site Admins (8 replies, posted in Feature requests)
I second worthers on this request -- I already have some of my own user asking me if they could "resell my cms" to their clients.
Specifically, I'd like to be able to add a user as an admin, and allow them to add their own users (and of course be able to define how many users they can add, add existing users that I already created to their account, etc).
Right now I have a client who has 3 of his own clients using the CMS system (I have it re-branded, and CNAME'd, so he doesn't know it's a 3rd party system), and I created his clients as users, then created him as a user and added all of their sites to his user account -- but this defeats the purpose, because he's adding his own client at the rate of like 1-2 per week, and I need a way to be able to allow him to define edit areas much like I can, and/or create users and allow them to edit sites that he has under his account for example.
Naturally I would expect to be able to modify his privileges or his sub-user privileges from within my own account.
Let me know how you guys are progressing on this feature!
I love your CMS, and appreciate the fact that you allow us to brand it as our own, and resell it to our clients -- it really is a great way to earn additional revenue and provide value-added services to your list of things you offer as a hosting provider/server administrator.
Thanks again guys! =0)
