Hi Louie, there isn't a way for SimpleCMS to round corners. Obviously, you can round them before uploading.

I've just thought, you can use CSS3 to give a rounded border to the image. Or you can include some extra HTML with background images that sit on top of your image to make the main image look like it has rounded corners.

Hi Ed, you can create a page on your website which contains our FORM tag and INPUT elements - taken from the login page on updating.net. The FORM will need to submit to updating.net (or your CNAME if you have one setup). This way you can have complete control over the login page.

Hi Harry, I can see that you edited that page twice on 26th October and three times on 27th October. There does not appear to be any issues with your updates.

It seems very strange that your page would be completely removed. SimpleCMS doesn't delete files from your FTP server. It will add new files and update files. My guess is there was an error transferring the page to your FTP server which caused this.

Has this happened to you again or is everything working correctly?

We would recommend Firefox over IE for use with any website, not just SimpleCMS.

Hi Jake, we could add a feature to do this. Here's a quick scenario.

Imagine you already have this HTML:

<div class="image-with-caption">
     <img src="/images/example.jpg" class="edit" />
</div>

And you enable the new feature in SimpleCMS and edit the image and give it a caption. Then you would have HTML like this:

<div class="image-with-caption">
     <img src="/images/example.jpg" alt="This is a caption" class="edit" />
     <span>This is a caption</span>
</div>

Is that the kind of feature you would like?

SimpleCMS currently adds rich text editing to block element and simple rich text (as good as plain text like your example above) to inline element.

Hi, that is intentional. If the source button were available on SPAN elements (and other inline elements) then users could potentially invalidate the page but entering block elements inside inline elements.

For example:

<span>
     <div>This is bad</div>
</span>

Hi Mikhail, I've replied to your email on this.

Currently SimpleCMS doesn't support editing of Master Pages but you can try typing the URL to the Master Page into the address bar (next to the sitemap) within SimpleCMS and see if you can edit it directly.

Hi Harry, we're investigating this one to find out what happened. We'll get back to you as quickly as possible.

We're working on this at the moment. It is best if you don't have IDs within repeatable areas as those IDs are then repeated which causes the error.

If the duplicate ID is a SimpleCMS ID (e.g. like n1, n2, etc) then the duplicate ID will be cleaned up when the page is saved. So you may find the repeat regions work for you if you repeat one area, publish your changes and then edit the new area. Once we've finished working on this bug you will be able to edit seemlessly.

Hi Scott, could you please provide further information of what you mean? Feel free to email us with some examples.

Hi David, just to add to Gavin's reply, SimpleCMS can't work with flash content. As Gavin suggested you can use the sitemap to navigate your site or you can create an HTML navigation in the footer of your site which SimpleCMS can work with.

Hi Mohamed, I've just sent you an email about this

Hi Scott, right now SimpleCMS only produces absolute URLs. We are looking at adding a feature later this year so you can choose absolute or relative paths.

Hi Tom, unfortunately SimpleCMS isn't compatible with sites built on codeigniter or any other framework.

SimpleCMS can only edit static pages. It looks for static pages on your FTP server based on the URL of a web page. I believe this is the case for PageLime and other content management systems of this nature.

SimpleCMS will try to find a folder on your FTP server called "about" once it has found this folder it will look for a file called "index.html" inside the "about" folder. If you are using a framework, where static pages don't exist, then the system won't find the "about" folder or the "index.html" file on the FTP server so it would produce an error.

We hope to offer a solution to this soon - next year perhaps.

Hi Rachel, it shouldn't do that. As you say it would defeat the point of having include files.

Which site / page is this happening on? Feel free to email the details to us.

Hi Mykul, we currently do not offer a solution for you to bill your clients. It is up to you how you choose to bill your clients, i.e. a one-off, annual or monthly fee.

The simplest solution would be to setup a calender reminder each month/year to remind you to invoice your client.

Hi Kyle, at the moment the system just emails the URL of the page they have updated.

The original idea for the email notification feature was so the site admin could have a quick visual check over the web page to ensure everything has updated correctly and the user is comfortable making text / images changes.

It doesn't work because you have entered the wrong root directory now. You have changed your Site URL so the root directory will be different to the one I posted above.

The root directory is the folder on your FTP server that you upload your files to. If you navigate your FTP server you will find the folder you need.

Hi Anna,

Your site has the wrong root directory. I have changed it for you, it is now set to /public_html/kpro/index.html

If you have this problem in future you can specify the root directory here:
http://cms.simplecms.com/#/sites/select_root/

Hi Scott, it sounds like you have some interesting clients "supercoolpuppies" and "seriousfacefirm".

The idea was that you would brand the system with your logo / colour.

We have previously discussed allowing you to brand the system for individual sites but we haven't had the time to implement this yet. Unfortunately, we haven't got any dates in mind of when this will be ready.

Later this year we are releasing a downloadable version which you will upload to each site you have. So the download version will allow you to do this.

Hi Scott, those changes are live now. You won't see "cms-" prefixed to your filenames anymore. This applies to images, PDFs, files, etc.

Hi Scott, we will remove the "cms-" prefix on uploads. We will have the new changes uploaded within the next few days but I will post back on here once completed.

Hi Patricia, could you let us know which user this is happening to and which site this is happening on? Feel free to email the details to us.

It shouldn't be logging her out no matter what browser or operating system.

While we investigate the issue, is she able to use a different browser?
